Isis Child Care and Family Support Hub
The organisation auspices the Childers Limited Hours Care Service and the Isis Family Day Care Scheme.
The hub will provide a range of services to support families in the Isis Shire, and will address early intervention and prevention needs. The service will provide family support and training to develop and improve parent skills and enhance family relationships. It will also upskill existing staff and care providers through identifying family problems and assisting families in identifying their own personal strengths and using their strengths to develop family units.
The service will have a co-ordination role in assisting families to access appropriate services. Support from the community is clear and has involved existing child care services, family day care schemes, care providers, families, the neighbourhood centre, Department of Communities and other community organisations. The service will enhance access to appropriate services through the coordination of services and making appropriate referrals for families.
Triennial funding of $49,634 is provided for the part-time hub coordinator, administrator, and family educator, and non-recurrent funding of $4,028 is provided for establishment costs.
