Wyaralong Dam and Cedar Grove Weir
The Wyaralong Dam has recently received Commonwealth Government approval. The dam will be located on Teviot Brook, 14 kilometres north-west of Beaudesert in the Logan River catchment. It will cover some 1,230 hectares and will supply 21,000 mega litres per annum (including Cedar Grove Weir) when completed in December 2011. The Cedar Grove Weir was structurally completed in December 2007.

Information about the Wyaralong Dam and Cedar Grove Weir can be accessed from the information desks at the Scenic Rim Regional Council, Fassifern Community Centre and the Scenic Rim Public Library or direct from Queensland Water Infrastructure Pty Ltd on 1800 225 384.
Services provided by the state government to affected community members include:
- personal and financial individual counselling for community members through Lifeline, and
- availability of maps of the proposed Wyaralong Dam site
The services provided will be regularly reviewed to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the community.
