Homelessness Programs
The Department provides funding for supported accommodation and related support services for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness. Funding is provided under the Commonwealth/State funded National Affordable Housing Agreement, which replaced the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP) from 1 January 2009.

Throughout the year, the department provides funding for organisations to deliver homelessness services.
Responding to homelessness
In 2005, the Queensland Government directed $235.52 million in capital and recurrent funds over four years to boost responses to homelessness and public intoxication.
KPMG review of the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program and the Crisis Accommodation Program
