Strategic policies

The Department of Communities has developed a suite of policies to articulate the direction and key policy objectives for our department.  They outline key government mandates, clarify departmental roles and responsibilities, and acknowledge linkages with other policies. They also align departmental priorities in each area with evidence, best practice and government priorities, and set out the key focus areas for the department for the next two years. Policies have a five-year life span and will be reviewed annually for currency. The Strategic Planning, Policy and Program Framework diagram (PDF 90 kB) shows how the strategic policies are reflected in services delivered directly by the department or by funded non-government service providers.
