The Premier has announced a major initiative for early childhood education and care in Queensland, as part of the Government’s “Toward Q2” plan for growing the Queensland economy.

Early Years Centres
The Early Years Centres will be ‘one-stop-shops’ where early childhood education and care, family support and health services are available for families expecting a child or with children aged up to eight years.

Early Years Health and Wellbeing Program
The Queensland Government has committed $1.46 million over four years to provide health and wellbeing services for Prep children at selected schools in Ipswich and Mackay.
