2008 Fun Day and Expo
Seniors Week 2008 celebrations started on Sunday 17 August when crowds of seniors, their families and friends joined in the fun at a free Fun Day and Expo held at Brisbane’s South Bank Parklands.
Visitors enjoyed a fabulous variety of entertainment, sausage sizzle, interactive activities and scenic fun walks along the Brisbane river.

A number of Queensland businesses offering special discounts to Seniors Card holders under the Queensland Government’s Seniors Card Business Discount Scheme showcased a range of products and services at the Fun Day and Expo.Resources
A range of resources were available to assist community groups organise and promote their local Seniors Week events.
