Bridge rules and requirements

You may start your Award between the ages of 11 and a half and 13 years of age. You may be able to start the Bridge Award after you have turned 14 if, for some reason, you are unable to undertake The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Talk to your licensed operator or the State Award Office to find out more.

You can enter the Bridge Award at either Level 1 or 2, however it is recommended that you begin Level 1 at 12 years and Level 2 at 13 years if you are going to do the Bronze level of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at 14 years.

For each award, you choose one activity in service, skills, physical recreation, and an adventurous journey and you then complete the minimum requirements for each section.
