Get on Board

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet operates the Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies which is a confidential database of men and women of different ages, interests and backgrounds who are interested in being on a Government board or committee.

The Department of Communities, in cooperation with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, encourages young people to participate in this initiative and offer their unique perspectives on Government boards and committees.

Find out more about boards and committees, and how young people can Get on Board, on www.premiers.qld.gov.au/government/participate/qld-nominees-register.aspx

The Queensland Government also uses reference or advisory groups to consult with individuals and communities. Reference groups are usually made up of government officers, community members and industry representatives. If you are not on a reference group you can connect with people on a reference committee to inform them of your issues of concern. You can find out more about these opportunities at http://www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au/participate/gi-in-gov/comm-forums/comm-forums.html
